Join us for a free Photo Album of the Irish talk, which will give an insight into the rich array of histories and photographs contributed to this growing digital archive.
The event will be hosted by our digital archive team led by Katja McMillan, who will also introduce the latest English and Jamaican editions of the project. The event will also briefly guide you through the fundamentals of preserving your family album: how to care for your photographs, negatives, and slides; safe ways to label, store, and display them; and options for restoring & repairing damaged photographs.
The Photo Album of the Irish Project is supported by the Government of Ireland Emigrant Support Programme.
