Nurturing Ireland's Photographic Talent

Our Early Career Artist Residency is a 12-month, fully supported development programme designed to provide emerging photographers with the critical resources, expertise, and opportunities needed to establish a sustainable creative practice.

Through dedicated mentorship, professional training, and access to state-of-the-art facilities, the residency nurtures artistic growth while ensuring that each participant is equipped to navigate the evolving landscape of contemporary photography.

Monthly Mentorship Sessions

Residents gain expert guidance and critical feedback from renowned curators, helping to refine their practice and further develop creative vision.

Specialist Workshops

Helping artists to build essential skills for a sustainable career. Sessions include in archive management, workflow, funding and applications, and professional practice.

Full Access to Artist Production Facilities

Our state-of-the-art facilities, are available to artists, including high-end scanning, printing, and traditional darkroom techniques, fully supported by our team. Valued at €1500+

Exhibition Opportunity

We invite our ECAA residents to showcase their work in a high-profile group exhibition, gaining exposure and positioning their work within the contemporary photography landscape.

Promotion & Networking

Our residents become part of our photography community with curated promotion, press outreach, and networking events with key figures in the photography industry.

Museum-Funded Exhibition Prints

Artists receive a full set of museum-quality exhibition prints at no cost, with dedicated production support to ensure the highest standards.

Opportunity for Collection Acquisition

The final exhibiton project will be considered for acquisition into Photo Museum Ireland’s prestigious Collection, securing a strong start to their artistic career.

Artist Membership

Artists are awarded a free one-year Artist Membership, providing exclusive access to resources, networking, professional development, and a vibrant creative community.
