Meet Our Artists

Early Career Artist Winners

Ronan Callahan

I am a 25-year-old photographer based in Dublin. I fell in love with photography after completing an intro to photography course that I got with the camera my mom bought for the family, and since then, I have always found myself with a camera in my hands.

I did a PLC in photography in Stillorgan CFE and used that year to work on an application to third-level BA programs. From there, I started at IADT and completed two years of the BA there before reapplying to TUD to complete my studies, specialising in portraiture and studio work. Throughout my career, I have developed a meticulous approach to lighting, composition, and posing, ensuring each image captures both precision and personality. My work is defined by a careful balance of technical control and artistic expression, creating portraits that feel both striking and intimate.

With a deep understanding of light and form, creating images that highlight the individuality of his subjects, whether in a controlled studio environment or on location. My passion for photography is driven by the connection between photographer and subject.

Inés Pesado

Inés Pesado is a photographer and visual artist based in Dublin. Born in northern Spain and now rooted in Ireland, her practice explores themes of care, intimacy, and mental health, often informed by personal experiences and a close connection to the queer community.

She recently completed a BA in Photographic Media at Griffith College Dublin, following earlier studies in Photography and Digital Imaging at the National College of Art & Design (NCAD). Her work has been exhibited in Ireland and internationally, including at the Royal Hibernian Academy (2023, 2024), Pallas Projects/Studios (2024), Griffith College (2025, 2024), and the Compostela Photo Street Festival in Santiago de Compostela, Spain (2022). Her photography has also been featured in Lesbian Art Circle, Volume IV, and will appear in Source Magazine’s 2025 Graduate Photography feature.

Ewan Power

Ewan Power is an emerging Irish visual artist and photographer, with a BA from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, in Fine Art Media. His practice focuses on the intimate aspects of life, depicted primarily through analogue photography. Informed by personal experiences and a unique point of view, his work revolves around notions of vulnerability and visibility. Adopting a diaristic approach to documenting, his work seeks to dismantle notions of public and private, embracing the imperfection that comes with human existence.
