Conor Horgan is an acclaimed photographer, best known for his portraiture, as well as an award-winning filmmaker and writer. Post-State, a solo exhibition of his landscapes and found objects, was held in the Royal Hibernian Academy in October 2022. His exhibition En résidence (2021) is a permanent installation of 18 large-scale portraits of artists-in-residence in the Irish Cultural Centre in Paris. Recent works have been shown in the the Royal Ulster Academy Annual Open (2021, 2022), Royal Hibernian Academy Annual (2016, 2022, 2023), Highlanes Gallery (2023), Rua Red Open (2023), PhotoIreland Festival (2022), Museum of Photography (2022), SO Fine Art Editions (2022, 2023) and the Ballinglen Arts Foundation’s first Biennale (2023). Two of his works are in the Office of Public Works State Art Collection, one is in the Dun Laoire / Rathdown Municipal Art Collection and many others are in private collections. He has recently been commissioned by the T.S. Eliot Foundation to produce a limited edition print to commemorate the centenary of The Waste Land. He is a founder member of Island Photographers, an artist-led group raising awareness, understanding and engagement with contemporary photography within Ireland.
