How to submit your work

Photo Museum Ireland is dedicated to showcasing a broad range of work by contemporary Irish photographers. We also present international exhibitions with an emphasis on new developments in the medium and pressing issues around photography and society.

Our exhibitions are scheduled between 12-24 months in advance. Our exhibitions are selected by our Exhibitions Section Committee composed of our in-house curatorial team and our panel of external international advisors.

While it is rare for us to curate exhibitions from unsolicited proposals,  we welcome submissions and updates from artists, curators, researchers, archives and institutions. Our current curatorial policy is focused on new approaches to photography, under-represented artists from diverse backgrounds, practices or bodies of work addressing issues relating to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Climate Action, and challenges and opportunities presented by new technology, such as AI.

You should format your proposal as a single PDF with images, a project statement and a bio. Please send your proposals to submissions@photomuseumireland.ie

You will receive a confirmation that your proposal has been received. Due to the volume of enquiries we receive we are unfortunately unable to offer specific feedback on individual proposals. Submissions are reviewed every six months and will remain on file for no more than one year, in line with our GDPR and green data storage policies. We advise that you do not send hard copy material by post as materials cannot be returned.

Portfolio Review opportunities
If you want feedback on your work in progress we encourage you to sign up up for Photo Museum Ireland’s quarterly artists review sessions. These will be advertised on our website and social media when scheduled.
