We’re excited to announce a brand-new partnership between SIGMA and Photo Museum Ireland: the SIGMA TALENTS Scholarship Awards 2025–2026 and the TALENTS 2026 Exhibition.
This programme is all about supporting Ireland’s emerging photographers. Three artists will receive:
-
A €2,000 bursary
-
Access to SIGMA’s professional cameras and lenses
-
Ongoing mentorship with curators and photographers
-
Time and space to create at Photo Museum Ireland’s facilities
Their work will culminate in TALENTS 2026, a group exhibition opening in Dublin in autumn 2026.
The programme officially launches on September 10, 2025 at Photo Museum Ireland with a showcase of 18 nominees. Each nominee will be celebrated on the night, with the final three awardees announced later in the year.
At SIGMA, we believe in elevating engineering to an art form – and in devoting that engineering to the service of creative expression. Guided by the philosophy “The Art of engineering. Engineering for Art.”, we have long supported and initiated cultural and artistic endeavours that advance photography and the visual arts.
This partnership with Photo Museum Ireland reflects our deep commitment to supporting the next generation of image-makers, not only through tools but through trust and opportunity.”
— SIGMA Corporation“This scholarship expands the support we can offer to early-career artists as they establish their professional practice,” says Trish Lambe, CEO of Photo Museum Ireland.
Residencies begin in October 2025, giving selected artists the time and tools they need to push their practice forward.
We can’t wait to see the new voices and visions that will come through this exciting collaboration.
