National Heritage Week celebrates Ireland’s cultural, built and natural heritage. It brings together volunteers, community groups and heritage enthusiasts to share their experience, knowledge culture and practices.
Focus on Archives
With the theme of ‘Living Heritage’, this Heritage Week we’ll be sharing work from the National Photography Collection – our artists’ archive initiative, building a repository of Irish artists’ photographic practices.

Outlining best practices in the management and care of artists’ analogue and digital files, recent developments in intellectual property, image copyright and licensing. Offered free to 10 photographic artists.

Join us for a free Photo Album of the Irish workshop (online and in real life) which will show you how to care for your precious family photographs. This will also show you the basic steps involved in digitising your family photographs, preserving a record of the future.
