See the world in a new way on this one day, hands-on photography workshop led by Professional Photographer Myles Shelly. You will be introduced to essential camera skills and hacks that will show you how to get the absolute best photograph with your camera. Start taking a new style of photograph with confidence.
In a series of practical exercises on still lifes, landscape, architecture, depth of field, movement, compositional elements, looking at key images from some of the masters of photography Myles will heighten your visual awareness and show you professional hacks that will elevate your skills to new ways of seeing.
Using aperture and shutter speed functions to manipulate depth of field and movement, these exercises will help you to create dynamic and creative compositions, heighten your understanding of light sources and introduce you to professional methods. You will improve your photography skills and learn how to plan your images, understand what to consider in the making of your photograph and learn how to capture great images in the lens.

Students will also be introduced to Photo Museum Ireland’s post production facilities, like the Photographers Darkroom, the Artist Digital Suite including digital scanning and photography printing facilities.
Myles Shelly is a photographer based in Dublin. Born in Waterford in 1983 he studied for a BA in Fine Art at the Limerick School of Art and for an MFA in fine art photography at the University of Ulster. He works on a diverse range of commissions in portraiture, lifestyle, architecture, and video. Recent clients include the Telegraph Magazine, The National Concert Hall, Trinity College, Mini Cooper, Guinness and The Abbey Theatre. He also works on long term personal projects and has shown works at the RHA and RUA annual exhibitions and Eva International. His work is held in several private collections, and he will release his first self-published booklet later this year.
