Join Trish Lambe, Artistic Director of Photo Museum Ireland for this free illustrated talk exploring Ireland’s rich photographic heritage. Discover amazing photographs that chart the development of photography in Ireland from the first photographs made by the earliest pioneers right up to today’s dynamic photographic artists.
In this talk, Trish will also guide you through the museum’s interactive timeline of the history of photography in Ireland. This unique education resource brings together a compelling array of photos spanning more than 180 years, situating the development of photography in Ireland within broader historical and artistic movements. Trish will look at how the changing role of photography in society from the earliest expensive one-off photographs through to today’s image saturated world.
