Caring for Your Family Photographs Workshop

Join us for a free HERITAGE WEEK workshop that will guide you through the fundamentals of preserving your family album.

In this workshop you will learn how to care for your photographs, negatives and slides; safe ways to label, store and display them, and options available for restoring & repairing damaged photographs.

Led by Brendan Maher, Collection Manager at Photo Museum Ireland, this informal session will also demonstrate how to digitise photographs and discuss various smartphone apps that have been developed for scanning photos.

This event is part of a project supported under the Heritage Council’s grants programme in 2024.
