Project Statement:

Subtle Interactions

Cian Lawler’s project Subtle Interactions originated from explorations of his hometown. Using photography as a means to resolve feelings he had towards this place, it progressively grew more focused on the human interactions with the space. Examining how these elusive disturbances of nature mould our perceptions of a place.

Artist Bio:

Cian Lawler is an Irish visual artist. His practice explores the human intervention within the landscape and how this affects our perception of these spaces. Additionally, the archive also features in his work, with an emphasis on the fragility of the archive when original creator is no longer able to narrate.
