Photo Museum Ireland and MACK are pleased to present an evening with curator and author Joel Smith, celebrating the launch of Hujar: Contact, a new book published by MACK dedicated to the work and archive of the celebrated American photographer Peter Hujar.

Join us at 6.30 for an illustrated ‘in conversation’ talk on Hujar: Contact with Joel Smith and Darren Campion, curator at Photo Museum Ireland, with an introduction from Artistic Director Trish Lambe. The event will be followed by a book signing.

Hujar: Contact explores the Morgan Library & Museum’s extensive archive of original contact sheets and job books, made by the beloved photographer Peter Hujar between 1954 and 1986, which come together to form an enthralling visual document of the artist’s creative process. It is co-published by MACK and the Morgan Library & Museum, New York, on the occasion of the exhibition ‘Hujar: Contact’, on show from 22 May–25 October 2026.
