Photo Museum Ireland’s scanning facilities are available to hire for Museum members.

For scanning we provide an Epson Perfection V850 Pro Photo, a professional quality scanner with an efficient dual-lens system and high pass optics and a Stuvue XYZ Precision Photographic Optical System which is a fully integrated, professional-grade scanning system engineered to match the Hassleblad X5 Flextight scanner. 

New users will receive a free 30 minute introductory session, after which they may hire the scanners for independent use. If further tuition is required, the Artist Digital Studio one-to-one tuition rate will apply.

Members are advised to bring a portable hard-drive or USB memory key to transfer their files (any files that remain on the workstation computer will be deleted within a 24 hour period).

The scanner can accommodate both prints and film formats from 35mm up to 10×8 in a range of media, including black-and-white negative, colour negative and positives (slides). The workstation is equipped with a selection of Adobe software, including Bridge, Lightroom and Photoshop.

Advance booking is required all facilities and can be done in person or over the phone – we accept all major credit/ debit cards. Bookings cannot be split and are non-transferable. With more than 24 hours’ notice, a booking may be re-scheduled at no extra charge. Concession rates apply to students, unwaged and those over 65.
