Róisín White, Untitled, from the series Lay Her Down Upon Her Back, 2017-2020

About the Artist:

Róisín White is a visual artist based in Dublin. She works primarily with photography, while incorporating drawing, sculpture and collage into her practice. White holds a BA (Hons) in Photography from DIT, and certificates in Ceramics and Sculpture from NCAD. Her work draws from archival materials and seeks to create a dialogue with our forgotten histories through the use of found photography and ephemera. She has an interest in exploring lore and the fictional narratives that can be discovered in discarded imagery. Her work seeks to agitate previous understandings and draw out new meanings. White has exhibited her work at The Library Project, Futures Photography and Parallel European Photography Platform in 2018/9. In 2021 she presented a solo exhibition at Pallas Projects, Dublin.

Details: Archival pigment inkjet print on Hahnemühle Photo Baryta, 50x70cm (paper size), uneditioned print, produced 2021, acquired for the National Photography Collection 2022.
