Traveller Wellbeing Through Creativity
Martin Beanz Warde has been supported to work creatively in a deep and engaged way with 9 Traveller participants.
A diverse and vibrant culture
Over a series of one-to-one conversations, Martin will collaborate with each participant to create photographs which explore new ways of representing the diversity and vibrancy of Traveller culture. This project is a partnership between the Photo Museum Ireland, Traveller artist, poet and comedian Martin Beanz Warde and Open Doors Initiative.
Open Doors Initiative, experts on social inclusion, will provide mentoring and support; with artist mentoring also provided by Anthony Haughey.
Photo Museum Ireland are delighted to partner with Creative Ireland, The Health Service Executive & The Open Doors Initiative to support this important project on Traveller Wellbeing Through Creativity led by artist Martin Beanz Warde.
Keep updated with our participants progress to see how our they explore their own well-being through the art of photography. An exhibition of works will be displayed in Meeting House Square in October - date to be announced.
