Under the Lens featuring on-set photography from Jonathan Glazer’s 2013 film Under the Skin

Photo Museum Ireland is proud to announce the world premiere of Under the Lens, an exhibition featuring on-set photography from Jonathan Glazer’s landmark 2013 film Under the Skin, which has been curated by its star, Scarlett Johansson.

The exhibition and accompanying publication showcases the work of Niall O’Brien, who documented the grueling and innovative shoot for Under The Skin. O’Brien’s atmospheric images capture the making of the film and the creative process that went into its production. The publication also features the film’s entire script by Glazer and Walter Campbell, providing a uniquely immersive account of this groundbreaking project.

The Under the Lens exhibition will be on display at the Photo Museum Ireland, Dublin from 7 – 14 September 2023, alongside screenings of Under the Skin at the Irish Film Institute. This exhibition and publication are essential for anyone interested in the intersection of photography, art, and cinema, touching on vital concerns of art-making and identity.
