Bealtaine Festival presents:

Teenage Kicks Rebellious Youth
Subculture and Street Style in Dublin (1970s-1990s)

17 May 2024

Photo Museum Ireland & Meeting House Square, Temple Bar

Garry O’Neill’s Where Were You archive is a love affair born of frustration with repetitive and narrow Irish history consumption. The archive consists of thousands of images sourced over a twenty year plus timeframe from the general public, photojournalists, amateur photographers, archives, and print. For Bealtaine 2024, Garry has curated a selection of images focused on rebellious Irish youths from 1970-1990 which might just feature the Bealtaine participants of today.
