Her Own Artist Talk with Dragana Jurišić

Presented as part of Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women

Join us for a special talk with acclaimed artist Dragana Jurišić at Photo Museum Ireland at 12 noon on Saturday 4 February.

Presented as part of Dublin City’s Brigit Festival 2023, this exclusive event will give a glimpse into Dragana's latest and highly sought-after publication, Her Own. Launched just last December at Photo Museum Ireland, Her Own has been a huge success and is already almost sold out.

Don't miss the opportunity to hear about the inspiration behind this personal work in the artists’ own words, as part of this city-wide festival celebrating women.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A session and book signing.

Her Own

“Her Own documents Jurišić’s attempt to trace the story of her aunt Gordana, a glamorous figure who left rural Yugoslavia in the 1950s and whose subsequent experiences involving false identities and espionage remain mysterious. Jurišić presents her careful, fruitful research in a series of illustrated notebooks that recall WG Sebald’s approach to memoir, history and reflection.”

- Aidan Dunne for The Irish Times
